First semester the class will focus on English grammar and learning the 6-trait model for writing. We will enrich our vocabulary with weekly exercises and vocabulary tests. In addition, the class will read the novel Animal Farm. Second semester the class will continue to focus on the eight parts of speech. After learning the 6-trait writing model, students will write paragraphs according to this model. We will read Romeo and Juliet. The class will continue with the weekly vocabulary enrichment.
