Teens learn to be responsible and make good management decisions as they explore balancing work and family issues. Teens explore the basic areas of family and consumer science: (a) personal development (self-discovery, values vs. goals, coping with change and stress, decision-making, managing resources, and relationships with peers), (b) family and child development and parenting, (c) home management and interior design, (d) clothing and textiles, (e) foods and nutrition, and (f) consumer education.
