A key part of SFA is twenty minutes reading each night.  Every student is required to read aloud for 20 minutes each night to an adult.  Your student may read an AR book from the library, a book from your home library, a newspaper, magazine even a cereal box.  What's important is the time spent practicing reading.

Practice makes perfect whether it's sports, playing a musical instrument, writing your alphabet, or READING!  That's the first benefit.  The second benefit is the time spent with your child each day enjoying the wonder of a book.

You may alternate pages, read by paragraphs, or your child may want to read the entire twenty minutes. You will sign a bookmark that your child has brought home and they return them to school as part of their reading grade.

Thank you for all the time you spend helping your child become a "READER"!
