Reading Competition at CES
The Students at Central Elementary have done it again.
For the week of April10-13, the students of Central Elementary have added lots of words to their total for the school .
Through the website for our Accelerated Reading program, we can track number of words per student and number of words per classroom.
This weeks winners were 1st grade—Treighton Hafenstein with 273 words, 2nd grade—Nathaniel Kerwin with 7,273 words, 3rd grade –Ty Henderson with 66,936 words, 4th grade—Hailey Proffit with 5,496 words, 5th grade—Kinsley McCauley with 24,991 words and 6th grade—Abbi Bowman at 94,488 words.
Classroom winners were 6th grade—1st place with 490,408 words, 3rd grade—2nd place with 268,732 words and 3rd place to 2nd grade with 27,679 words.
The total for April 10-13 was 6,389,997 words read. This display was started Jan 9. We are proud of our kids reading over 6 million words!!!!
