NHS Induction

On Wednesday, April 12, 2023 nine high school students were newly inducted into the Central USD 462 National Honor Society.

NHS is a nationally recognized organization. It has always been regarded as a concrete way to promote high school academic standards and an instrument for the betterment of the individual and the school. Chapters are urged to exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and ingenuity in promoting NHS, challenging members with the realization that anything is possible if the will to achieve greatness is present.

The membership of the Central High School chapter of the National Honor Society must meet a cumulative grade point average of 3.5, volunteer 15 hours of community service each year of membership, and have three letters of recommendations from the high school faculty. Membership has been earned by the effective demonstration of the following four qualities held in high esteem by the society.
