Monday, August 29th

Homecoming Candidate Pictures 8:15 a.m.

ZAP Continues. A Zero (0) report will be pulled prior to 10:00 a.m. Notifications will be delivered to students and an email and school reach phone call sent to students/guardian. To get signed out of ZAP, students will need to complete the assignment with full effort, fill out a green get out of ZAP form located at the office window, have the teacher sign the form, and then return it to the office.

WIN Time: Rise Time Family Groups. Lesson 2.

Tuesday, August 30th

WIN Time: Students stay in 2nd hour and read a library book.

Friday, September 2nd

CJSHS Open Library / Friday School 9:00 a.m. - Noon. All 7th-12th grade students are welcome to attend. Students can get tutoring help on homework from a staff member, serve detentions, utilize the school wi-fi to complete missing assignments, etc.

Bullying/Peer Conflict Reporting System

Students and Staff:

This is the link to Central USD 462's Bully Report Form. If you experience or witness someone else experiencing a bullying incident- please use this form to report your concern. This form should not be used to make false or made up bullying incidents. This report is anonymous unless you choose to leave your name at the bottom of the form. The form is also posted in Ms. Smith's Google Classroom and will be on the school's website.

Bullying means: a) any intentional gesture or any intentional written, verbal, electronic or physical act or threat either by any student, staff member or parent towards a student or by any student, staff member that is sufficiently severe, persistent, or pervasive that such a gesture, act or threat creates an intimidating, threating or abusive educational environment that a reasonable person, under the circumstances, knows or should know will have the effect of:

1. Harming a student or staff member, whether physically or mentally;
2. Damaging a student or staff member's property;
3. Placing a student or staff member in reasonable fear of harm; or
4. Placing a student or staff member in reasonable fear of damage to the student's or staff member's property;
5. Cyberbullying- bullying by use of any electronic communication device
6. Any other form of intimidation or harassment prohibited by the board of education of the school district in policies concerning bullying adopted pursuant to this section or subsection of K.S.A. 72-8205 and amendments thereto.
