Raider Athletic Update for November 3 - 8.

We are so proud of our Central Raider Cross Country Team! They had an amazing group of students, friends, and family members who drove to Wamego to cheer them on today at STATE! They ran their hearts out on a tough course in the chilly wind. Kyson, Kari, and James all placed within the top 30 - a huge accomplishment at State. The boys team of Kyson, James, Gunner, Ty, Chason, Dylon, and Dylan placed 4th overall as a team in the 1A boys race. Great season Raiders!!

On the Fifth day of our FFA National Convention Trip, the Students got up early for the Opening session @ Lucas Oil Stadium. We were blessed to listen to the National officers and our Keynote Speaker Mr. A'Ric Jackson with a wonderful message about Leadership. After our morning session we went back for our second day at the FFA Expo and student workshops. We ended the day with a nice dinner at the Cheesecake factory.
Goodluck today Raider runners!!

Good luck to the HS Cross Country team as they will run at State in Wamego tomorrow! The boys will run at 10:00 am and the Kari will run at 11:45 am.

The HS FB team season came to an end last night with a tough loss to Yates Center. Good job this season Raiders!

On the Fourth day of our National Convention Trip the Guys got to Explore the FFA Convention & Expo Center. Half of the guys went to their Workshops while the other half got to meet celebrities, try out new tractors, fly in an Airforce simulator, ect. Taylor and I took them to a down town pizza restaurant (Giordano's) for a late lunch, headed back for Ty to get his run in and then headed to Speedway Indoor Karting @ the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The guys got to try their hand at a Road coarse and a Slick track. We ended the day at Freddy's.

On the Third day of our FFA National Convention Trip, the boys visited the National FFA Center in Indianapolis, Picked up our Convention badges, found a few tractors to look over outside the Expo center and even found a Nature park for our Cross Country runner to get his runs in this week to keep in shape for his STATE Cross Country meet on Saturday.

Day Two of our National Convention trip we left St. Louis and traveled to Louisville, KY to visit the Louisville Slugger Factory. The boys learned all about the Forest in Pennsylvania where the tall straights trees are chosen for the bats. The Boy also got to hold Game played bats from Great Baseball players such as Babe Ruth, Hank Arron, Ronald Acuna Jr, ect. We ended the day with a nice Steak Dinner!

Congratulations to Jessilyn Parsons - 2nd Team All League!
