Our Central Raider HS Wrestlers kicked off their tournament season with an amazing day at ElDorado today. Every wrestler on the team placed and the Girls Team came out 3rd overall!!

The Elementary Basketball season kicked off today for the Winfield Rec league. Central has a 3rd/4th grade boys, 3rd/4th grade girls, 5th girls, and 5th boys team. Thank you volunteer coaches for working with our young athletes!
CES will be making gift boxes for senior citizens in the Raider Communities! On Thursday December 19th, we will deliver the boxes and sing Christmas Carols to these special community members as our gift to them. Last year proved to be very heart-warming for CES and very much welcomed and appreciated by the seniors! Please help us spread Christmas Joy throughout our communities! The more items donated- the more joy we can spread!
The HS wrestling team travels to El Dorado for their first tournament of the season. Wrestling begins at 9:00 am. Good luck Raiders!

Central Raider HS Basketball kicked off at home this evening vs. Attica. A Girls fought hard but came away with their first loss. A & B Boys came away with nice wins. Great job Raiders!
Central Burden's FFA Middle School students traveled to Buhler High School this past week to participate in the Middle School Ag Ed Academy. A total of ten students participated in the competition, returning with several awards. Notably, two individuals, Nathan Groene and Matik Tatum, achieved a tie for tenth place, finishing just 6 points shy of First place. Other participants included Rachel Mackey in 16th place, Malorie Prater at 30th, Conner Atkins in 44th, Cole McMinn at 48th, Joben Moore in 55th, Brayden Martinez at 63rd, Wade Hervey in 112th, and Violet Ferguson at 241st, out of over 400 registered FFA students. The team overall earned a third-place finish in the competition.
The HS BB team opens up their season tonight at home against Attica. Due to sickness, there will not be any JV girls tonight. The JV boys game will start at 5:00 pm. Varsity girls will start at 6:00 pm followed by varsity boys. The JH BB team travels to Flinthills today! The games will not start until 5:00 pm, as they will be using 2 gyms. In their main gym will be the B team boys, followed by A team girls and then A team boys. In their west gym will be the B team girls and then the C team girls. If you are not able to make the game, it will be livestreamed on the Flinthills Athletic Streaming YouTube page.

The HS BB team will be playing in the Border Queen Invitational Tournament next week. The boys and girls will play on Tuesday at Caldwell against Oxford. This will be varsity only all week. The girls will play at 3:30 pm and the boys will play at 5:00 pm. Good luck!
USD 462 completed our District Spelling Bee on December 3rd. Congratulations to the following students who will be representing Central at the County Spelling Bee. 1st - Laurynn Jones, 2nd - Alex Ponce, 3rd - Charles Patten, 4th - Dylan Hanson, 1st Alternate - Dakota Bell, 2nd Alternate - Isaiah Ahlstedt.
