Good luck to the JH BB team as they both compete in the league championship game today! The girls will take on Sedan in the third game of the day that is scheduled to start at approximately 12:30 pm and the boys will play following the girls at approximately 1:45 pm. Let's Go Raiders! Lady Raider Wrestlers represented well on day 1 Regionals in Rossville. Ady and Aubrey will both advance to wrestle tomorrow for the opportunity to qualify for STATE!!

The Central Forensics team competed at the Douglass Invitational this evening. 21 schools were in attendance. Great job Emma Jackson and Payton Smith on their 4th place finish in Improvised Duet Acting.
The JH Girls & Boys BB teams are back in the league championship games on Saturday. The girls will play Sedan at 12:30 pm and the boys will play Oxford following the girls. Good luck Raiders and go get that league championship!

7th-12th Grade Students & Families - We have been in contact with the Winfield Shooting Sports Trap Team to try to make arrangements for USD 462 students to possibly have the opportunity to join the team! We have had several students reach out in past years to try to get a team going here at Central. Our hope is that our students will have the opportunity to learn more about the process and commitment required by trying to join the Winfield team. We want to provide our students with the opportunity to compete if their family would like to participate while we continue to work on a Central team in the years to come. We appreciate Winfield for allowing us to join if there is availability on the team!
If you are interested in learning more and would like to participate, please plan to be in attendance at the meeting below. Both parent and student are required to be in attendance.
The JH BB team will travel to Flinthills today for the SCBL semi final games. The girls will tip off at 4:00 pm against Flinthills and the boys will follow (approx. 5:15 pm) and play Argonia. Due to winter weather conditions- ALL SCHOOL and ACTIVITIES for WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 12, 2025 have been cancelled. CJSHS Conferences have been postponed to February 19th. Stay safe and warm!
The HS BB team hosted Cedar Vale / Dexter tonight. The JV lost a close game. The varsity girls lost a hard fought game. The varsity boys finished the night with a win. We had a great student section supporting the Raiders tonight!
Central's JH Scholars' Bowl team traveled to Sedan on Monday night for their first competition of the season. The JV team came away with 1st place!! Great job young scholars!
