Our Annual Thanksgiving Feast at Central Elementary is on Tuesday, November 25th at 10:45 am. Meals are $5 each. Please be sure to arrive early- doors open at 10:30 am. To better accommodate the growing number of guests we have attending this event, we have made some changes to our system. Once we receive your reservation and confirmed payment, we will send home tickets for each reserved guest. On the day of the feast, we will not be collecting payment or checking names off, but will be collecting tickets as you enter. We hope this will lessen the time family members spend in line, waiting to get in the doors.
Thank you for your support as we work to continue the Thanksgiving Feast tradition!
** This year school dismisses at 1pm for ALL USD 462 students. After the feast, if you would like to check your child out to go home with you or family members, please be sure to do so in the office before leaving**

HS Scholars Bowl traveled to West Elk this evening. Varsity takes 3rd place!! They went unbeaten in pool play, came up short against Oxford in the semifinals, but then edged Argonia on the final question in the consolation round to earn a medal. Varsity team this evening was James, Adi, Libby, Darren, Dakota, and Kaden.
We hope you will join us on Friday, November 21st at 5:00 p.m. in the CJSHS gym! Come for a wonderful smoked brisket dinner with all the trimmings, drink and dessert! Plus, you will be entertained by our awesome Raider Pride Band and Choir! Our theme this year for Bella Notte is "Throwback" so Beatles, Mottown, Elvis, Billy Joel, ABBA, and more. The Central FFA Chapter will be holding a Labor Auction and dinner Friday, November 14th. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. and the auction will begin at 7:00 p.m. FFA members have offered to allocate 8 hours of work to their buyer. All funds will go directly to the Central FFA Chapter to assist with career and leadership development events. We hope to see you there.

Come out tonight, Friday, Nov. 7th, to watch our Fall High School Athletes compete in Powderpuff and Volleyball! Girls will be playing flag football, and the boys will be competing in a friendly game of volleyball!
Admission is free for spectators; players will be charged $5 for their team shirt.
Athletes- Show up at 4:30 pm to paint your shirts!
Spectators- Games will start at 5 pm, beginning with volleyball in the CJSHS gym!

Veteran's Day Breakfast - Tuesday, Nov. 11th, 7:00 - 8:00 a.m. at Central High School for all area veterans. Please help us spread the word!
We are so proud of our Central Raider Cross Country Team! They had an amazing group of students, friends, and family members who drove to Wamego to cheer them on today at STATE! They ran their hearts out on a tough course in the chilly wind. Kyson, Kari, and James all placed within the top 30 - a huge accomplishment at State. The boys team of Kyson, James, Gunner, Ty, Chason, Dylon, and Dylan placed 4th overall as a team in the 1A boys race. Great season Raiders!!

On the Fifth day of our FFA National Convention Trip, the Students got up early for the Opening session @ Lucas Oil Stadium. We were blessed to listen to the National officers and our Keynote Speaker Mr. A'Ric Jackson with a wonderful message about Leadership. After our morning session we went back for our second day at the FFA Expo and student workshops. We ended the day with a nice dinner at the Cheesecake factory.
