
Happy 164th Birthday Kansas! CES celebrates Kansas Day!









Kansas Day Pre-K Fun!
We read "S is for Sunflower", talked about all of the Kansas symbols, made butter and ate it with our locally made sourdough bread baked by one of our own teachers, local sandplum jelly, and local honey. We also made sunflowers and had Happy Trails trail mix.











The JH BB a team hosted Flinthills last night. The C girls lost, but the C boys, B girls, B boys, A girls, and A boys all won. Good job Raiders!










Central hosted the Cowley County Spelling Bee this morning. Congratulations to our top six finalists in the competition.
1st Place - Emma Mangold - ArkCity Christian (Will represent Cowley County in the Sunflower State Spelling Bee in March)

3rd Place - Eden Capps - Winfield

Central will host the Cowley County Spelling Bee this morning at 9:00 a.m. at CJSHS. This event is open to the public. Good luck to DH, Charles, Alex, and Laurynn as they represent Raider Nation!

Elementary basketball continues. The season will be wrapping up this coming weekend. 3-4th grade boys won 20-9 yesterday!

Good luck this weekend to our HS Band students competing in the K-State Concert Band Clinic in Manhattan - Libby, Adi, Brianna, Jaydan, Logan, Trystan, Darren, Casper, and Emma. This is an amazing, educational event and an honor for our nominated students. They will get experience concerts and learn from and play with some amazing clinicians and conductors. Good luck Raiders! We can't wait to hear all about your experience. Thank you Mrs. Dolan and Denis for helping make this trip possible for our students.


The HS SCBL BB Tournament concludes today! The girls will play Udall at 12:00 pm for 5th place. The boys will play South Haven at 7:30 pm in the championship game. All of the games will be at Cowley County Community College in Ark City. Come out and support the Raiders!
