We've been behind on posting updates from HS Track. They are having a great season!
The boys won the Oxford and Douglass meets, and placed 2nd at the Caldwell meet. They also beat a huge list of much larger schools at the PreState Classic. Ben Long broke the 300LH record recently, competed in the Elite Division in High Jump at PreState, and is part of the 4x400 team (Miles, Broc, and Boston) that's undefeated so far this season (except at WSU). Other men on the team are performing at very high levels and lots of PR's have happened this year. The PoleVault crew just set a bunch of PR's at Caldwell with Ethan leading the pack followed by lifetime bests from James and Parker (both of whom are also important members of the 4x800). The 4x100 team (Miles, Boston, Darren, Martin, Anakin) just took some major time off their season best with a very close 2nd place finish at Caldwell, and have a plan to get even stronger. Boston is leading the team in Disc, followed by our other Throwers Luke, Austin, Noah, and Darren who all have had recent successes. Gunnar has been our best 800 runner and is filling an important role for our middle distance program. Overall these kids are doing some great things!
The ladies are putting together a great season also with the best relays Central has had in years. Coda, Fynlie, and Sierra are having a great season in the sprints while Jessica is earning points in the middle distances, Ana in the long distances, and Paislee in the PoleVault. These ladies are putting together a heck of a season! Their 4x100 had a major breakthrough recently (Coda, Sierra, Fynlie, and Paislee) and our 4x400 (Coda, Sierra, Fynlie, and Paislee) is sooooo close to putting together a season defining performance. Katie is our sole thrower but she's really raking in the points and has achieved some lifetime best throws this season allowing her to place very high in our meets.
Keep it up Raiders!

Update from KEMFA State Powerlifting. Miles finishes runner up on the bench with a PR of 270 and Darren finishes champion on the bench with a lift of 245

Reminder, power lifting leaves for Claflin at 445 am tomorrow morning (4-20). See you all at 430 am!
