The Central Scholars Bowl teams competed at Oxford this evening. The JV team of Leo Brown, Jaydan Mannon, and Casper Hipsher finished 2nd out of 10 teams. In their semifinal match, they came from 30 points down to win and make the championship match, where after a long battle, they came up on the short end after five tiebreaker questions. They did a tremendous job! The varsity team ran into some rough luck, winning one match handily, and dropping three each by one question. So, so close! The scholars will now be gearing up for the league meet at South Haven on Jan. 22!
The 1st and 2nd graders were back in action yesterday in their first games after Christmas break! All the kids are improving so much each week.

Due to the winter storm and poor road conditions, tonight's BB game at Douglass has been postponed and tomorrow's wrestling meet at Herington has been cancelled. There will be no athletic practices today! Stay warm and safe!
The HS BB team will travel to Douglass tonight. Games start at 4:30 pm with JV boys followed by Varsity. A decision at noon will be made on if it will be postponed due to road conditions.
The JH BB team swept Udall tonight, winning all 5 games. Good job Raiders!
The JH BB team will play today at Udall starting at 3:30 pm with C girls (2 quarters), followed by B girls, B boys, A girls, A boys. If you are not able to attend, the games will be livestreamed on the Udall School Facebook page.
Reminder zero hour will pick back up next Monday Jan 8 and run M/W 630 am and Friday 845 am until spring break.

More CES Civic Engagement Day
Central Elementary students spent their last day of the semester spreading joy through our communities. Our Civic Engagement Day consisted of delivering boxes of goodies and caroling in Atlanta, Burden, Cambridge and Grenola. It was a Great Day to be a Raider!
Raider HS basketball closed up their last game of 2023 with JV and VS boys wins and a VS girls loss against Central Christian Academy. Have a great break Raiders!
