Classroom shout outs this past week at CJSHS! Mrs. Liebau had special guests Maricella and Ary Ascencio visit the Baking & Pastry classes to teach students how to make homemade tortillas and prepare Mexican dishes. Mrs. Burdette's Business class has been studying the importing and exporting of goods. They participated in a fun hands on activity to learn about trade tariffs and taxes.

The youth VB teams played in Winfield today. The 3rd & 4th graders opened their season up with a win against Winfield and lost to South Sumner. The 5th graders swept Oxford and Dexter. The girls play next Saturday in South Haven.
The Central Raider high School football team had a phenomenal win last night against West Elk in the MaxPreps game of the week! Thank you to everyone who came out and braved the rain to support them, it was an awesome game! Great job! Raiders.
Good luck to the HS VB team as the travel to Dexter for the Spartan Invitational. The girls will play at 9:00 am against CVD, 12:15 pm against Southeast Cherokee, and 2:15 against Oxford.
The JH VB/FB team traveled to Sedan yesterday. The VB team swept the Blue Devils in the A, B, and C team. The football team beat Sedan 54-6. The kids will be back in action at home next week. Good job Raiders!
The HS football team will be playing at home tonight against West Elk. The Central Booster Club will be having a tailgate starting at 6:00 pm. Come out and support the Raiders!

The cross country team will be running at home today! The JH will start running at 3:30 pm. The HS girls will be at 4:30 pm followed by the HS boys at 5:15.

The HS VB team played at home against Sedan and CVD tonight. The girls played hard but lost both matches. It was also senior night and Katie Cook was honored as the only VB senior this year.

CES Students are headed home from the fair. Due to a bus issue, we are running about 15 minutes behind schedule. We should arrive around 5:45pm.
Tomorrow's (9/11) HS JV FB game time against Flinthills at home has been pushed back to 6:30 pm. There will not be a concession stand.
Reminder: K-6 Field Trip to Kansas State Fair on Monday, September 11th. This will be an extended school day, with students arriving back at CES at 5:30pm.
